TK-7834, or Lastok, was one of the Imperial AT-AT pilots who operated the walker of General Veers during the Battle of Hoth. Along with the gunner TK-5187, he successfully piloted their AT-AT into firing range of Echo Base’s shield generator, destroying it, and allowing for more Imperial ships to join the battle. Their walker was then struck by a Rebel snowspeeder, causing it to fall. Lastok survived the crash, and he pulled the injured General Veers from the wreckage. There’s nothing more of note about Lastok in stories, but the best part about him is that he is named for George Kostal, who runs the VeersWatch social media accounts, which tracks appearances of General Veers throughout the Star Wars universe. And the TK numbers 7834 and 5187 are based on my birthday and Mollie’s birthday.
