Here's a comparison shot of the laser scanner (top) and the realtime laser simulator (bottom). I think it does a pretty good job of capturing the performance of the real thing. I chose a more complicated/messy video for this one, to better show off the limitations of the system (that's Marisa Stole the Precious Thing by IOSYS).
Note: the laser is, of course, adjusted to a smaller size and lower brightness here than usual. Otherwise the simulator on the screen would be completely overpowered by the laser.
As usual, if you're interested, check out marcansoft.com/openlase and git.marcansoft.com/?p=openlase.git

There is currently no set schedule for these streams, so subscribe and click the bell if you want to be notified when they happen.
I do not broadcast background music, for copyright reasons and because my music tastes may not match yours. I highly recommend bringing along your own music! Bringing up Asahi Linux on the M1 Pro, Part 2 [2021-11-02]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/i9LzRd8TDQ8/mqdefault.jpg)
