Avalanche lilies are only seen in the mountain snow zone areas of British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. As the snow melts they are among the first wildflowers to bloom. Unfortunately, by the time most hikers make it to the high country the blooms have faded. Timing is of the essence to see this incredible bloom!
