For years, getting traffic from the subscribers to a Large Scale NAT cluster has been done mainly through VRFs or a PW headend design. Both work but it is time to introduce another design for those interested in leveraging the segment routing commonly being built to the edge while simplifying the architecture, maintaining the resiliency, and providing fast service to customers. In this presentation we will cover this innovative design, the infrastructure needed for it, the traffic flow, and failure scenarios on an active-active large scale NAT cluster design.

Rene Santiago: I am Network Architect with a wide experience of different low-end and high-end network platforms and protocols. Mainly focused on Service Provider networks of all tiers.
