This is just a quick mockup of one way a proportional gear drive joint could be made that would be appropiate for a jumbo Wally with 4 foot arms. The materials pictured are .75- MDF and 1.9- OD fiberglass poles. Not pictured would be a block and tackle setup between the top edge of both of the plates and the bottom edge of both of the plates. The cables will run in the slot between the gears.
