This is a rendering of a design first seen in "How to Draw a Straight Line" by A. B. Kempe. It was published in 1877. This is a quick mockup of how a demo made of 2x4s will look. I also want to play with snap together3D printed joints for a 3D printer. My complaint, as many others will be, is that the number of joints can lead to a lot of slop. I think I can design a printed version that will use no bolts or bearing while also maintaining minimal slop. (Time will tell.)
