LANTERNS Episode 1 is INCREDIBLE…but WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!

We’re only ONE episode into this series and they already went there.

HAL JORDAN DIES.

What?!

I love how this premiere starts establishing what being a Green Lantern actually means within this new DCU.

But even more importantly, we get to watch John Stewart begin his training.

John is still learning.

He’s still understanding the ring.

He’s still discovering the responsibility that comes with becoming a Green Lantern.

And Hal is the experienced Lantern who should be there to guide him through that journey.

Then the episode takes Hal AWAY.

That completely changes everything for John moving forward.

He has barely started and suddenly one of the most important people who could prepare him for what’s coming is gone.

Kyle Chandler is fantastic as Hal Jordan.

Aaron Pierre already feels PERFECT as John Stewart.

And if THIS is where Lanterns starts?!

We are in for something special.

Did you expect them to kill Hal Jordan in Episode 1?!
