OH MY GOD MORE FOOTAGE FOR AVENGERS DOOMSDAY! HERE IS MY REACTION
What happens when Marvel gives us another look at Avengers: Doomsday—and FINALLY lets us see even more of Doctor Doom?!
The new Avengers: Doomsday Special Look is here around D23, and somehow my excitement for this movie just keeps getting BIGGER.
In my Avengers: Doomsday Special Look reaction, I’m diving into the new footage, the additional looks at Doctor Doom, and everything that continues making this feel like the massive Marvel event I’ve been waiting for.
Because at this point?
I JUST WANT MORE DOOM.
Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU as Victor Von Doom remains one of the biggest swings Marvel has ever taken.
And every new look at this character has me even more curious about what the Russos are cooking.
I don’t want Tony Stark 2.0.
I want DOCTOR DOOM.
Give me the intelligence.
Give me the arrogance.
Give me the terrifying presence.
Give me the ruler.
Give me someone who walks into a room filled with Avengers, Fantastic Four members, X-Men, Wakandans and every other hero in this movie and somehow STILL feels like the most powerful person standing there.
Because the scale of Doomsday is already ridiculous.
Marvel is bringing together heroes from across the MCU and beyond, including the Avengers, Fantastic Four and returning X-Men characters, all against Doctor Doom.
And D23 is only adding to the Doom hype.
Marvel’s D23 presentation has also given fans another look at Doom’s costuming, including a second Doctor Doom suit, while the TVA-themed experience includes imagery involving a damaged TVA and destroyed Sentinel.
WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS MOVIE?!
That is what has me so excited.
This feels BIG.
Not simply because there are a ton of characters.
It feels like Marvel is positioning Doctor Doom as an existential threat to EVERYTHING.
And with Secret Wars coming after this, I’m watching every frame trying to figure out where all of this is going.
How does Doom connect to the multiverse?
What does he want?
Why are all of these different universes colliding?
What happens when Doom meets the Avengers?
The Fantastic Four?
The X-Men?
And what exactly is Marvel still hiding from us?
That is what I want an Avengers movie to feel like.
An EVENT where every new piece of footage gives us answers while somehow creating ten more questions.
