I don’t know if you’d call Landen Lewis a Kevin Harvick protégé but there’s definitely a relationship there that will be mutually beneficial as time goes on.
Lewis just won the CARS Tour LMSC Championship in the Kevin Harvick Inc. number 29, an accomplishment fitting his attitude, racing acumen and pedigree.
He came on Kevin Harvick’s radar through an existing relationship with NASCAR Hall of Fame driver, Ron Hornaday, and he soon began mentoring Harvick’s son Keelan, giving the teen Harvick guidance, knowledge and encouragement.
Fresh out of the car from winning the championship, I had a conversation with with Lewis about capturing the title, the Harvick relationship and his thoughts on Keelan’s progress behind the wheel.
