A full orchestral transcription I've created of the overworld theme from Bravely Default, alongside a recording I created to test its accuracy.

➤ Analysis:
This piece has two stages; light (0:02) and shadow (0:47), respectively played during day and night in the game. To reflect this, "Light" starts in a major key (A major) whereas "Shadow" is in the minor (A minor) - a very apt representation of day and night.
The instrumentation also reflects this parallel, with militaristic brass and percussion during the day, and calming winds and plucky pizzicato strings during the night.
As this music accompanies you for most of the game, it is all the more powerful when it is referenced in the final boss encounter, following a collage of the four character themes and sitting as the climax.

The score was created in Sibelius 7.5, and the audio was created in Cubase using the brilliant EastWest sample libraries.
