LaMarr Woodley, a former Saginaw High and University of Michigan star, offers a new football camp called CAMP 56, a two-day football academy for 110 high school student-athletes who have the potential to play at the collegiate level but have not been heavily recruited. The players perform in front of 16 college coaches from all across the country for a chance at a scholarship.
The camp is structured similarly to an NFL mini-camp or college spring football workout. Players will receive football instruction, plus information to help them in school, career and life. The camp emphasize academics, with classroom sessions with university academic advisors, NCAA Clearinghouse experts, ACT and SAT advisors and media relations professionals.
