Welcome to the 2022 Spring Game and Signing Day event hosted by Valiant Management Group. This “Meet The Team” NIL signing event followed the Michigan football Spring Game on Saturday, April 2nd.
Over 120 Wolverines were in attendance at Oosterbaan Fieldhouse for hundreds of fans to get autographs on their favorite memorabilia. Profits from the event, generated through public ticket sales and sponsors were distributed to all Michigan student-athletes who participate. Minimum guarantees were in place and additional NIL compensation was granted to those with the most seniority and marketability.
“The message is, we’re trying to do something for the entire team here,” Valiant Management CEO, Jared Wangler told The Wolverine. “Not just the one percent of guys who’ve been making money in NIL. It’s exciting to bring this to the table and get initiatives like this going. I’d like for this to be an every year thing where everyone on the Michigan football team knows, at the end of the spring game at the signing event, I’ll be able to earn a piece of this NIL pie. That’s the goal there.”
