The Laughing King Resort is a 60 acre organic waterfront farm in Northampton Co. Virginia just 15 min from Cape Charles. This colonial home provides an incredible stay complete with 5 bedrooms, full gourmet kitchen, two furnished screened porches, a library, game room with a pool table, fire pit, waterfront gazebo, dry sauna, giant poolside palapa and much more. The fun and uniqueness of The Laughing King Resort lies in the charm of the nearby tiny house. Lovingly repurposed and recycled, the cottage includes a sleeping loft with a king size bed that is tall enough to stand comfortably in. The bathroom brings together an eclectic design that can best be described as concrete industrial minimalism meets vintage motorcycle.
Both the Farm and the Tiny House are surrounded by the calm waters of the Chesapeake Bay where you can enjoy the private beach, paths and trails for hiking, and miles of sandbars for exploring. We offer an array of amenities including the Chesapeake Bay water front pool, a private sandy beach, and miles of sandbars to explore and enjoy. The pool is open from May through November. It is surrounded by shaded and unshaded decks, a palapa and has lots of comfortable seating, chaise lounges, and plenty of room to spread out and relax.
