LOS ANGELES - Each fall, the non-profit Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation proudly hosts VALOR, a high-profile awards ceremony honoring exemplary Los Angeles Fire Department members for their service above and beyond the call of duty.

On November 20, 2024, civic and community leaders were joined by friends of the LAFD at the rooftop of BMO Stadium to recognize firefighters and organizations who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to protecting life and safety in the City of Los Angeles.

VALOR 2024 awards included Special Commendation honoree Firefighter III Shedrick Griggs.
