On May 13, 2022, at 0134 hours, an officer from the Jupiter Police Department was dispatched to a business on Town Center Drive regarding a physical fight. The caller, who was the bar's manager, reported being attacked by four intoxicated female patrons after a disagreement, and the females had fled the bar. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with three of the involved parties. One party immediately ran to an Uber van and became verbally combative, and the Uber driver stated they wanted to cancel the ride. The individual refused orders from officers and friends to exit the vehicle, only doing so after being advised they could be arrested. The individual continued to yell and scream, attempt to walk away, and refused to listen to anything being explained by the officers, prompting one officer to eventually yell for the person to "shut up". The officer then attempted to gain control of the person's arms
