Yeah it's the millionth video on Youtube of these trucks, but certainly not every day you see them out this late. The routing is such in my area that large swaths of the neighborhood next to mine don't even get their recycling touched until about 3pm in the afternoon when several trucks from other routes come over to finish up piece routes. By that point a lot of those helper trucks are already full from other routes and therefore struggle to pack as much of this neighborhood in as they can before they need to call it quits. Back in December, an already high volume of packaging recycling due to covid supplemented with holiday shopping waste allowed for way higher than average recycling loads that kept trucks out later than I've ever seen before. Seen in this video are 4 trucks collecting between 4:30 and 5:30pm, and though unfortunately there were no good sunsets on the days I filmed them, Christmas lights at some houses in the area gave the footage more of a unique holiday vibe.
