Corelli - 'La Folia' for Viola: Variation 8 - Andante; Variation 9 - Largamente

Day 7 of a video journal of me attempting the theme and its 24 variations of Arcangelo Corelli's 'La Folia' op. 5, no. 12 for viola and piano.
I just had to feature my house plant in this one because it decided to put on a show of its own during the week!
Not too much to say about this one. A nice, slow, and sweet pair of variations. I do enjoy the high A harmonics that are featured in variation 8 and the low chords that are featured in variation 9. Most of them are 3 note chords. There is the one tricky 4 note chord that is hard to nail down because I have to span my 3rd finger across the C and G strings and get the F natural in tune with the open A but it came out alright. We will speed things back up and pick up the intensity for the next pair recording in a week.
