The Art of Nature - Germany | Kyrgyzstan Adventures | of Nomads, Horses and Mountains @theartofnaturegermany | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
In August 2022 my friends from university and I went on a three weeks field trip in Kyrgyzstan - the land of nomads, horses and mountains. The journey started in Bishkek, the kyrgyz capital, where we could relaxe the first two days and prepare for the outdoor trip. Then we started a road trip through the north of the country mostly following the silk road, which brought us to our first wild camping spot. We went on a beautiful hikes to the stunning Kol-Tor Lake and into the Boom Canyon. My personal highlight of the whole travel was the time in the nomad camp in the Song Kol plateau, where we slept in the typical kyrgyz jurts, watched the nomad game Kok Boru and went horse riding in the endless grass land. Everyone in Kyrgyzstan ownes animals like sheep, cows, horses and yaks, which are everywhere around. We also tryed lot's of authentic kyrgyz food and had a fun time with the other students.
