A character study of Kylo Ren. Implied Reylo. Redemption-arc.
When I saw the first teaser for The Force Awakens I was sure I would hate Kylo Ren. I was expecting a one-dimensional, moustache-twirling and cartoonish villain who would be evil just for the sake of being evil. (I'm looking at you there, Snoke, General Grievous, Count Dooku, Emperor Palpatine etc etc) Instead we got a tormented, complex and conflicted character who was even struggling with his pull to the light. Which made him relatable and human. I know a lot of people say that he's "whiny and emo" but HAVE YOU SEEN ANAKIN IN THE PREQUELS!? HOLY SHIT!
Well, after seeing the film he actually turned out to be my favourite character. Even though he killed the hero of my childhood. A shocker, right?
