Defeating the three chapter bosses in Kusan: City of Wolves and its ending.
You die in one hit so no damage isn't really applicable and the only checkpoints are for the start of the next boss in Chapter 2 and 3. The game definitely favors parrying to avoid attacks and since fights are pretty short spamming attack and otherwise timing for parries to keep up the damage works really good to end fights. However, seems like it's not all that great for max rank scoring (maybe some more parrying would have done the trick).
Looks and sound great with solid gameplay. It's particularly fun when you get a rhythm blazing through levels and slaughtering enemies. Didn't get all that into the story but I don't think that detracted much from the game as it seems more gameplay focused. Even so, I stuck to the pistol instead of the later weapons as punching seemed to work best with the knife and gun just being ways to take down enemies that can shoot you. I still don't quite get how scoring fully works for levels (a criticism from the demo) and unless you're going for max rank achievements you get plenty of currency to upgrade things easily. I probably also would have preferred bosses that were a bit more durable but I guess the dying in one hit part would be difficult to balance.
But if you like this sort of gameplay then it's worth checking out for a game that's several hours long.
