There's a great video I saw on the Make Noise channel about their Bouncing Ball patch, and it got me inspired! I thought I would study it a bit and adapt it to the Krellinator!
This patch is not necessarily about the audio path (here it's just a frequency modulated oscillator into a lopass gate, with a touch of reverb), instead it focuses on using and modulating simple envelopes to create more complex ones. In this case, a cycling decay envelope controlling the lopass gate has its decay time modulated to run faster as time progresses, very similar to a bouncing motion. My patch here uses other modulations on top of this, further modulating the amplitude of the gate-modulating envelope as well as modulating the envelopes with themselves to produce subtle exponential waveforms. I figured I'd "Krell-ify" this patch for this demonstration by triggering the patch with a chaotically timed LFO, while also introducing random voltage to change the pitch of the oscillators and the bounciness of the envelopes.
