I've been experimenting lately, here's the latest adventure:
Using the Empress Effects ZOIA pedal, I programmed a pair of MIDI sequences that which I could press a button to slowly offset their phase over time until they eventually lock back in sync (expanding from a Jamuary video I posted last month). The MIDI is then sent to the Yamaha Disklavier at my college to be played live and recorded by my microphone. Using my Zoom L6 mixer and interface, I am able to create an effects send so that the recorded signal can be processed through the ZOIA pedal for some phaser-y room reverb, and this stereo effects-only track is also recorded back into the mixer.
This was an extremely fun project to put together, and one I am quite eager to explore further with this equipment while I still have access to it!
