Knit-like Crochet Beanie Pattern:
Crochet Hook: H/8/5MM
Yarn: Size 4, Medium Weight Wool Yarn by Cascade Yarns (Color: Copper Heather)
Stitch marker, safety pin, or scrap piece of yarn

Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 51, turn.
Row 2: Skip 1st CH st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (50 total), CH 1, turn.
Row 3: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 48 st of this row. CH 1, turn. You should have “left off” two stitches.
Row 4: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (48 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 5: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 46 st of this row. CH 1, turn. You should have “left off” two stitches.
Row 6: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (46 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 7: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 44 st of this row. CH 1, turn. You should have “left off” two stitches.
Row 8: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (44 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 9: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 42 st of this row. CH 1, turn. You should have “left off” two stitches.
Row 10: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (42 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 11: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 40 st of this row. CH 1, turn. You should have “left off” two stitches.
Row 12: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (40 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 13: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 40 st of this row. CH 3, turn. You should have added two stitches.
Row 14: Skip the 1st CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (42 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 15: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 42 st of this row. CH 3, turn. You should have added two stitches.
Row 16: Skip the 1st CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (44 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 17: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 44 st of this row. CH 3, turn. You should have added two stitches.
Row 18: Skip the 1st CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (46 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 19: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 46 st of this row. CH 3, turn. You should have added two stitches.
Row 20: Skip the 1st CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (48 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 21: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 48 st of this row. CH 3, turn. You should have added two stitches.
Row 22: Skip the 1st CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of each st in the row (50 total). CH 1, turn.
Row 23: Skip turning CH 1 st, then place 1 HDC SL st in the BLO of the 1st 50 st of this row. CH 1, turn.
Rows 24 - 81: Repeat Rows 3 - 23 to create 5 “peaks.” At the end of your latest row, you should have a total of 50 stitches.
End your last row so that your crochet hook is on the opposite side from your starting tail (working back down to the flat end of the beanie).
Fold the beanie in half and crochet the two edges together, then crochet the peaks at the top of the beanie with the peaks beside them (see video for help with this step).
