How to CROCHET a mini CLIMBING HARNESS for your elf on the shelf. This easy, beginner-friendly crochet tutorial is part of my elf climbing set. This set includes: the harness, harness loop, and zipline. With this set, you can place your elf in your Christmas tree, or have them zip lining through the kitchen!

Crochet CLIMBING HARNESS Pattern:
Crochet Hook: F/5/3.75MM
Yarn: KC Brand, Size 3, Lightweight
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 23, then SL st into the 1st CH st BB to form a loop.
Row 2: CH 1, then place 1 SC in current BB, then 1 SC in each remaining BB. SL st in 1st SC to join (23 total).
Row 3: CH 1, then place 1 SC in the first 10 st, then CH 3, skip 3, and place 1 SC in the remaining 10 st. SL st in 1st SC to join (23 total st).
Row 4: CH 1, then place 1 SC in the next 4 st. CH 18, count backwards 12 st from last and SL st in the BB of the 12th st to create a small loop. Place 1 SL st in the BB of the next 6 st, then 1 SC in the main part of the harness in the next 6 st, then 3 SC over the CH loop. Place 1 SC in the next 6 st, then CH 18. Count backwards 12 st from last and SL st in the BB of the 12th st to create a small loop. Place 1 SL st in the BB of the next 6 st, then 1 SC in the main part of the harness in the next 4 st. SL st in 1st SC to join.
Cut and tie off yarn.
Hide tails on the inside of the harness.
