My take on Quattro/IVs theme in Duel Links, releasing just in time for his unlock event! Little known fact about me I am a very avid DL player... probably too avid... if you play, have fun during the event! This theme is one of my favorites in DL, I remember listening to it and going insane over it before his roaming event back in April? Everyone say thank you Konami

Much of my musical background is in classical music, so I had a lot of fun with the waltz style the theme is composed in! Starting 00:15, it follows a very typical waltz format, with the accented 1st beat and 2nd and 3rd light beats in the bass line. But as the song progresses it sort of devolves from the standard waltz. For example, it plays with a duple meter despite being triple meter at parts like at the intermission between the two parts at 00:42 and at the buildup right before the end. Besides all that, theres the chords and chord progressions ! The theme loves its B harmonic minor and there was tons of room for accidentals and slips in the key, letting it sound extra insane. I love the sudden and brief C major at 1:27, a glint of hope before the frenzied buildup to the end. Speaking of the end, I made the last three measures up because obviously in the real one it would go into a loop. Its basic and kind of a cliche but hey it works lol

i have been obsessed and started this almost as soon as it released but just now finished it because i fear no man but that thing (arranging paralive) that thing scares me
i still remember listening to galaxy for the first time and immediately loving it but then being super sold on the tritone interval in annes express your attitude line. it could easily be consonant but the dissonance is so poignant i love it so much and i wish i couldve done more with it. overall i was really inspired by the chromaticism and put it in a lot more places than in the original, i think it gives what would be a purely celebratory song a strong since of melancholy and hope and goes along with bae and particularly galaxys theme. looks away for being insane about this silly cheesy song that also happens to have like the silliest mv in all of paralive
