Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Americans! Today is a day for giving thanks for all the things you may (or may not) have in your life.

Will you be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with me? Are you going to be eating turkey and enjoying mashed potatoes? How do you celebrating Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for?

Anyway, on to the main attraction. I decided to dust off the old Super Nintendo last night to play a few games. I then concluded to record some of my favorite Puyo Pop knock off, Kirby's Avalanche (also known as Kirby's Ghost Trap in the PAL version). I found out that I am pretty rusty with the SNES controllers and I make a few mistakes here and there.

Unlike the regular Puyo Pop, the game automatically starts you off with all five colors (red, blue, green, yellow and purple) which made it slightly more difficult for me, since I usually tend to play with only four colors (red, blue, green and yellow) on Puyo Pop Fever. The Puyo games usually start you off with only three colors (which tend to vary based on which game you are playing). The game also speeds up the dropping of the Puyos to alarmingly fast levels... at least for me. Then again, I haven't touched a SNES controller in a while and am a bit rusty at the game.

I'll make sure to try and add some quirky commentary along the way with captions, so be on the look out for them. I also took out all the times I bombed a level to save on time. You can tell when I lose a level by looking at the amount of point I have. If they, for some reason, return to zero, it is because I had to do a stage over. In the end, despite being rusty, I surprised myself at how much better I have gotten at planning Puyo chains and how much quicker at thinking I had become. Must be all this College! Haha.
