I felt my parents would have wanted me to return to our home town of Kingswear, opposite Dartmouth on the River Dart, on this 80th anniversary of VE Day - the place they were 80 years ago.
I had the most wonderful childhood there but I'm afraid when I see all the crazy things that have been allowed to happen there over the years, it makes me very angry.
Anyway.....this may be the last "big one" I get back there for.
