*This incredible experience makes one realise how small and insignificant we all are as individuals* 😳
Having rode my Yamaha Diversion 900 to Nancy in France, to see the Eclipse with friends in 1999 and that was a complete and utter wash out, I decided to have another go in 2026.
Fellow “Whizzer”, Elliott joined me, again on bikes, his a Voge 525 and me on the little XSR125 😲
Persistence paid off because I could not have wished for a better experience; one of the most _profound_ of my life - spiritual even! The creator of the Firmament did something extraordinary when our moon, unlike other moons we know of around other planets, is _just_ the exact right size to block the sun, as seen from the Earth, on seemingly random occasions, albeit these can be predicted mathematically to the second into the future, _ad infinitum_ ! Truly extraordinary…and awe inspiring.
The cameras I had with me were inadequate to capture it sharply but I was there and witnessed the _diamond ring_for myself… awe inspiring.
