Hey Elvis fans. I thought it would be fun to put together a slideshow for both songs.
Elvis 6th picture "Flaming Star" made in 1960 was IMHO his ABSOLUTE BEST acting role. It puzzles and actually saddens me that this film has not received the respect it truly deserves. For those of you who are not aware, the Western film was initially going to be called "Black Star" and Elvis recorded the song but then it was not considered to be commercial enough and so the title was then changed to "Flaming Star". The Original song of "Black Star" had been missing for 30 years but thanks to Ernst Jorgensen and company, was located and released in 1991. Apart from Elvis dramatic performance , the film features a top notch cast of the Calibre of Dolores Del Rio, John McIntre, Barbara Eden (Pre -Jeanie fame) Steve Forrest and Karl Swenson.
