A process video showing me create two mixed media tags inspired by playing cards.
I start by adhering some musical notes to two chipboard tags. I then add red paint and ink spray on top. I make the tags darker using black gesso first through a stencil, then to the edges and to the background, blending the pattern a little. After drying I then add some more texture to the background using stamping and another stencil, this time using a red metallic paint. I then continue making the focal points - adding a cut diamond shape, the playing card and a Tim Holtz paper doll. I use some doodling, text stickers and crystals to finish the tags.
