This is one in a set of 4 videos which can be used to determine the relationship between the kinetic energy of an object and the object’s velocity. Each video shows a low friction cart placed at different heights and released from rest. The kinetic energy of the car at the bottom of the ramp can be determined by the amount of gravitational potential energy given to the car when released from rest at each height. The car’s velocity can be determined at the bottom with horizontal displacement and time measurements.
