This video shows 10 different collisions which can be used to investigate the total momentum of a system of colliding objects both before and after the collision. The data can be used to test if the system’s momentum or kinetic is conserved throughout the collision. The collisions show both “bouncing” and “sticking” collisions with varying mass cars on a low friction horizontal track. See the links below for videos of each individual collision.
