Killzone Needs to Come Back
From the original Killzone on PS2 to the groundbreaking Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 on PS3, the series helped define PlayStation’s identity during the shooter boom of the 2000s.
The Helghast became one of gaming’s most iconic enemy factions. The gritty atmosphere, incredible visuals, and intense multiplayer made Killzone feel unlike anything else on the market.
Then came Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4.
A game that, even today, still looks absolutely stunning. The lighting, environments, particle effects, and sheer visual fidelity remain impressive more than a decade later.
Unfortunately, after Guerrilla Games found massive success with Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, the Killzone franchise was quietly left behind.
But for many PlayStation fans, the memories remain.
The Helghast.
The multiplayer.
The atmosphere.
The feeling that PlayStation had its own unique sci-fi shooter.
And honestly, it feels like the perfect time for Killzone to return.
