Government has commissioned 21 locally manufactured Kiira electric buses in Kira Municipality, with Minister for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs Hajjat Minsa Kabanda describing the development as a major step towards modernising Uganda’s public transport system.
The electric buses have been introduced to provide cleaner, affordable and reliable mobility while reducing emissions, easing urban congestion and supporting local manufacturing, skills development and job creation
