KiCad 8 introduces four new simulation types that can be configured: pole-zero, noise, S-parameter, and FFT. This expansion in simulation capabilities allows for a more comprehensive and accurate analysis of electronic circuits. Additionally, custom signals can now be defined, enabling the addition of plots for expressions such as V(/in) and V(/out). This enhancement allows for visualising a wider range of simulation outputs directly within KiCad.

Furthermore, operating point simulation results can be visualized directly on the schematic canvas, providing users with a more seamless and intuitive experience. With these new simulation features, users can gain deeper insights into the behaviour and performance of their circuits, making it easier to optimize and refine their designs.

Overall, the new simulation features in KiCad 8 significantly enhance the ability to analyze and visualize simulation data, providing a more robust and efficient workflow for electronic design. These updates reflect KiCad's commitment to continuously improving and advancing its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of its users.
