One of the new features in KiCad 8 is the ability to customize hotkeys for a more streamlined workflow. This capability allows you to assign alternate hotkeys to any action in the schematic and PCB layout views. This means you can set up shortcuts that are most convenient for your personal preferences and work style.
To customize hotkeys in KiCad 8, navigate to the Preferences menu and select Hotkeys. From there, you can assign a second hotkey to any action by clicking on the desired function and entering the alternate key combination.
