The Kawasaki KH250 saga continues!
If you've been following this ongoing attempt to get my 1978 Kawasaki KH250 back on the road, you'll know it's been something of a rollercoaster!
Well, my mate Dave has had the bike for the last couple of weeks and yesterday he called me to say that he'd finally solved the mysteries that have been plaguing the bike.
So I hitched up the trailer and headed down to Hampshire to see what he'd discovered.
In this episode Dave talks me through the work he's carried out, explains what was actually wrong with the bike and, most importantly, we get the KH250 running and take it out for a brief ride.
It's not completely finished yet – there are still a few things that need sorting – but we're now at the point where I can order the remaining parts and head back to Dave's and actually fit them myself under his supervision.
Which means that not only might I finally get the KH250 sorted, I might actually learn something about working on an old two-stroke along the way!
