In 2009, 24,000 girls in India were vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which can lead to cervical cancer. Numerous girls were vaccinated without sufficient clarification, in some cases even without consent. In order to make those responsible for the trials liable, ECCHR´s partner organisation Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) filed a complaint.
