In March and November 2019, ECCHR, the Akademie der Künste as well as representatives from the Ovaherero and Nama people organized an event series in Swakopmund and Windhoek, Namibia, and Berlin, Germany. Together with researchers, academics and lawyers they discussed the present-day repercussions of German colonialism in Namibia.

ECCHR met Reverend Rupert Hambira and Ovaherero representative Kamutuua Kandorozu in Swakopmund for a talk on the German genocide in Namibia, reparations and the future.
