May 4, 2013 marked the 139th Kentucky Derby. Held in Louisville, Kentucky at Churchill Downs, this annual Thoroughbred race is known as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." We dug up a 1945 Universal Newsreel with exciting coverage of the 71st Derby. In it, Eddie Arcaro rides Hoop Jr. to win in 2:07.
