Ark Attendance has dropped 21% over last year through the first third of 2025. Thanks to a friend who takes the time to submit Freedom of Information public record requests we have a means of estimating attendance data each month since the Ark Encounter opened in July of 2017. And that data reveal significant declines in attendance. April 2025 showed approximately 45,000 daily paying visitors compared to 67,000 the previous year - a 35% year-over-year decrease. May continued this trend with around 50,000 daily paying visitors, representing a 21% decline from 2024. When we look at the first five months of 2025 compared to the same period in previous years, we see a consistent downward trajectory that's worth understanding.
In this special episode of This Week in Creation we also take a look at a recent Fox & Friends segment featuring the Ark Encounter, which was actually a paid partnership rather than organic news coverage. We discuss this marketing strategy by Answers in Genesis to promote the Ark Encounter theme park.
