Who was Kelleran Beq? Most Star Wars fans know him as the Jedi Master who rescued Grogu from the Jedi Temple during Order 66, as seen in The Mandalorian. But he was *first* created for the children’s game show Jedi Temple Challenge. There he oversaw Padawans as they completed their trials to become Jedi Knights. He was played by Ahmed Best, who also played Jar Jar Binks, and the actor described the Jedi as being dedicated solely to teaching. But he was also directly involved in the protection of the younglings he taught. The Jedi Knights comics showed him on a mission to rescue a Force-sensitive child that had been kidnapped by pirates on her way to join the Jedi on Coruscant. Despite his kind and caring demeanor as a teacher, he has been shown to be an absolute badass when he is needed. Kelleran was also related to Achk Med-Beq, a cameo character Best played in the Outlander Club in Attack of the Clones.
