Arvel Crynyd flew an A-Wing as Green Leader during the Battle of Endor. Four years earlier he was a pilot protecting bacta, flying in a Z-95 Headhunter. One day he stumbled across a group of rebel pilots training, and became enamored with their A-Wings. He began teaching them tricks for fun, which led to him becoming a flight instructor for the Alliance. From there he became a combat pilot, and as a member of the Rebellion found a romantic partner named Demms Ryx and began raising a daughter they named Starr. At the Battle of Endor Crynyd held the rank of commander and led Green Squadron against the second Death Star. His A-Wing was hit by a bolt that sent his starfighter spinning out of control. He used what little maneuverability he had left to fly his ship into the bridge of the super star destroyer Executor, causing it to fall into the gravity well of the Death Star, where it was destroyed. Arvel was posthumously awarded the Medal of Alderaan for his sacrifice. #starwars
