This jingle, "The Longer You Listen, the Better It Gets" was something our corporate overlords hoisted upon us. I hated it, and never thought it fit the rock 'n roll image of the radio station. But like all things radio at the time, most of the dictates came from the top, and we had no choice but to make the best of it. This was one contest promo I produced using the jingle they made us use. I think we were doing some kind of "call in when you hear the song of the day" mechanic to trigger listeners to phone in to the requestline and win $1,000.
