If there's one thing these past few years have taught us, it's just how fragile our democracy, and indeed, our freedoms truly are.
On this Memorial Day, please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifice made by those who came before in the interest of preserving our freedoms. Because just as easily as they have been given to us by the framers of this nation's Constitution, they can just as easily be taken away by a would-be strong man who rises to power and thinks he's above the law, or worse, that he *IS* the law.
Some Americans believed that liberty was worth dying for. Then they backed up that belief by making the ultimate sacrifice in our name. Today, the least we can do is to offer our deepest gratitude.
