Highlights from the opening reception of Ke Kilo Lani, an exhibition honoring the life and legacy of legendary kumu hula and musician Robert Cazimero at Windward Community College’s Gallery ʻIolani.
The evening featured live music by Cazimero, hula performances by Windward Community College students and members of Hālau Nā Kamalei o Līlīlehua, and reflections on the people and experiences that shaped his life and career. Family, students, and community members gathered to celebrate his generational impact on Hawaiian music and hula.
Developed in collaboration with the Wāhea Foundation, the exhibition presents photographs, memorabilia, instruments, and personal objects spanning Cazimero’s artistic and personal journey.
Ke Kilo Lani is on view through May 15, 2026 at Gallery ʻIolani on the Windward Community College campus in Kāneʻohe.
