On June 1st, 2021, 36-year-old Kandi Green Gonzalez disappeared from Prestonburg, Kentucky. After being “thrown out” by her boyfriend of approximately 2 years, Jeff Blackburn, she was last seen asking for help on a property on Abbott Creek Road prior to running into a creek. The local law enforcement has provided little aid, according to Kandi’s family, who have largely been responsible for the search themselves. Could Jeff’s connection to law enforcement have something to do with this (his father, John K Blackburn, is the former sheriff of Floyd County).
