Update 7/9: It saddens me to share that Alice has been deceased. According to her father, “It is not a murder investigation and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with her death.” My thoughts are with her family and friends.

On July 1st, 2021, Alice Hodgkinson was officially reported as missing when she didn’t return to work following a school break. While Alice’s father stated that he last spoke to his daughter on June 30th, according to her housemates and colleagues, Alice has not been seen for approximately two weeks now. Law enforcement in Japan are investigating Alice’s disappearance and have searched her residence. They’ve found a note of some sort, but have not revealed the contents, or whether it’s of relevance to the case. The case has been described as “sensitive” by local law enforcement, who are now working with Nottinghamshire Police in the UK.
