The Russia Kaliningrad Stadium was built for the Kaliningrad Russia 2018 on the island of Oktyabrsky, right in the heart of Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad's election as host city has prompted local authorities to develop the island, which for centuries has been a wilderness, were left untouched. After the 2018 World Cup, the development of new housing will be built around the stadium, with grounds, dock, an embankment along the river Pergola.

The stadium was the site of mixed-use Kaliningrad. As well as football matches, it will host other sporting events and concerts. The stadium provides seating 35000 for lovers of the World Cup. After Russia 2018, FC Baltika Kaliningrad will play home matches at the stadium.
