Jeju Island Korea Travel Guide. Chagwido is Located at the western end of Jejudo Island, Suwolbong, a small mountain peak, is renowned as the favorite sunset viewing spot. This mountain has a vertical cliff that spreads like a scroll painting, made from ocean waves gradually cutting the land. The top of the Suwoljeong hexagonal pavilion, from which you can look down on all sides. From this pavilion, you can see all the West Sea.
To the north, offshore, is Chagwido Island (sometimes called Jukdo), where only the peak areas have grass growing, and the rest of the island consists of dark rock and hyeonmuam cliffs. Chagwido is famous for fishing, and in January, March, June, and December, people come here for fishing. Around sunset, Chagwido beach turns red from the sun and is truly an amazing sight to behold.
